     Oldham Scope provides services that continually strive to meet the needs of adults with Cerebral Palsy and similar disability.
People using this service can expect support to access opportunities within the life of the community.
The Oldham Scope endeavours needs aspirations and abilities of all people regardless of race, age, gender,religion, culture, disabilities or sexuality.
 
Guiding Service Principles.
 
* Independence
Decisions made by service users will be honoured and respected wherever possible and necessary support provided as needed individuals will be given the opportunity to develop skills to help them achieve their full potential.
 
* Choice
Service will be involved in choosing their support needs, which will take into account, their unique circumstances and specified needs.
 
* Privacy
A persons right to privacy and confidentiality will be respected at all times. However, this may not always be possible if information shared indicates that others maybe at risk.
 
* Dignity
Service users will be supported as valued members of their communities. Services will be delivered with respect and sensitivity to individual needs.
 
* Rights
All service users are entitled to the same rights opportunities and choices as other members of the community. Disability does not justify poor treatment, low standards, injustice or oppression. Furthermore a person's right to be safe and protected from abuse, exploitation and neglect will be upheld at all times.
 
* Confidentiality
All user's files are kept locked and seen only by staff members of Oldham Scope or external agencies if agreed by the service user. Mail will be opened by or if necessary in the presence of the service user.
 
* Community Living
Oldham Scope will support people participating in the life of their community. an individuals natural relationships with their family, neighbours, friends and colleagues will be maintained and supported.
