At Heathbank Support Services we offer a wide range of activities aimed to either stimulate or relax the service user.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES Such as birthday parties, celebrating religious events, sporting events, and our annual summer fair to name but a few, are enjoyed by all. The service users benefit from these as they provide variety in their lives, maintains contact with news and events going on around them either in the local or world community,as well as providing opportunities to discover and socialise in other cultures, beliefs and special occasions.
INTELLECTUAL ACTIVITIES At the day centre our service users are able to access the internet helping them to maintain contact with the outside world, play games on the computer or just to listen to the latest songs! On a regular basis we all enjoy a quiz together, whether its regarding a special occasion eg: Easter, Eid or for fun like a music quiz or current events. These types of activities can encourage verbal stimulation ( especially the quizzes!!) as well as encouraging thought processes and intellectual challenges.
CREATIVE ACTIVITIES We offer a wide range of arts and crafts supplies enabling our service users the chance to express themselves. This could be drawing, painting, crafts or writing all which provide stimulation and identify skills.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES Any physical activities that we provide for our service users are in place to help improve the service users self-esteem or mobility.
